hahaha
thank you SKY!

k... in spite of all the dohnuts and pirate movies and binary and the like, i thin theres a nice discussion goin one her
....or, was

personally disagree with everyone
haha no, im kidding

my opinion is...
no, theyre NOT the same thing, not everything can be explained by logic, most things can, but why would someone give their life for annother person, which does happen occasionally
i think, any tiem someone does something for the gain of someone else and not for their own, its emotion working insome way
this doesnt happen very often, given that we live ina very messed up cruel world, but why does it happen occasionally?
because emotions exist, because humans are different from animals for some reason and we are affected by it

for all you other human hating depressed guys out there, heres something for you as well:
animals have two goals:1) stay alive and 2) make more of themselves
(this is why at the begining, all men cared about was not dying and having TONS of kids)
humans however have a third goal that is not very easily explained, but one way to look at it is 3) we must try to keep ourselves happy
now... im not supposing this is right and im open for discussion... but i think a will for happiness is the result of very much of the good any evil everywhere
people kill themselves because they see no other way to end thier suffering and be happy
people strive to be moral to make themselves feel good
people sritve to be IMmoral to make themselves feel good (note, i dont actually believe this one, but tat has to do with will, and is a different pot of cookies)
people steal to be happy
people give to be happy
people kill to be happy
people die for others to be happy for themselves

i could keep goin
anyone care so far?

Gah! Enough with the "b" word! we get the idea!

And Renegade brought up the interesting point of relativity in emotions. Didn't we have a huge post on this somewhere? EITHER way, yesh, they are both separate yet intertwined at core levels, much like the actual biological connections in the brain.

'actual' biological connections in the brain.

See? I fixed it for you.

Discuss.

Actually the b word was both, and there have been multiple studies on the human brain, only the way it transfers stuff, but they intertwine at interesting levels, which is why i'm actually pulling a realist here and saying some science stuff.
