it's my secondary concious, not my subconcious, to clarify my vote. the subconcious is your programing, yur secondary concious is your concious going out on a tangent while you're asleep. |

A dream, as far as scientists using current MRI's can tell, is a breakdown of the day. It is your body analysing what just happened to you, and making some connections in your brain based on that. It is, in fact, probable that you dream every night, and simply don't remember what went on in the dream.
This deduction comes from two things, measuring blood flow to various parts of the brain, the parts of the brain which recived the most blood during the day usually get some more blood when the subject dreams.
The other part is from an experiment, where scientists had a group of students study for a test over the course of a day. They then measured which of the students had the most REM during their sleep. The ones with the most REM did considerably better than the ones with little REM.
For anyone who may not know, REM stands for Rapid Eye Movement. |

REM, indeed, that's an interesting thing, studied that in science class last year. Anyways, my choice was "I'm not sure" because it can be any of the above, and in my experience its usually all of the above at least at some time or another. Hope that helps...some.... |

Well it sounds like REM and a little bit of facial nerve twitching, but basically its just involuntary movements of your face unconciously. |

Yes, that's basically what they are. However, there is a proven correlation between the REM and dreams. Look it up, i suggest scientific american or new scientist as good sources. |
